As we approach Christmas we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for your continued hard work throughout 2023.

Like we always say, policing is a job like no other - and that never seems more true than at Christmas. We appreciate that for many of you, you’ll be working over the festive period. Hopefully though, you do manage to spend some well-earned time with loved ones - you really do deserve it.

Retaining officers is an ongoing issue. We recognise that calls for better pay, less pressure, assaults on officers and a more manageable workload remain at the top of your agenda. As we head into 2024 please know that we, as your Federation, will continue the fight to get your voices heard.

The wellbeing and mental health of Staffordshire Police officers continues to be our priority - with that in mind, please do reach out for support from your local Fed rep if you feel you need it.

Of course, 2023 also brought with it many success stories. Fundraising members took on rigorous challenges for charity, fitness guru Joe Wicks engaged with members as part of Mental Health Awareness Week and of course, our branch treasurer Claire Bond received a British Empire Model. This is just a snippet of the multiple experiences shared with us over the past 12 months, and we look forward to hearing many more in the New Year.

For now though, we hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. Look after yourselves and keep safe.
