Do you fancy a challenge next month? Staffordshire Police Federation members can now sign up for this year’s Back on the Beat fundraiser.
Raising money for the Police Treatment Centres (PTC), this year’s event allows participants to choose between three different distances - a 50km, 65km and 100km route.
The fundraiser will be taking place on Saturday 14 May, and is once again in-person, after being forced to go virtual due to the pandemic last year.
“I’m hoping to see as many of our members as possible signed up for this year’s Back on the Beat challenge, especially as there are now three routes to choose from,” said Staffordshire Police Federation secretary Glyn Pattinson.
“Now more than ever, the PTC charity needs our support. The work they do is essential in helping so many of our members and colleagues return to their jobs following injury.”
All routes for the event will start and finish at the PTC in St Andrews, Harrogate and those who sign up will get their registration fee back if they raise more than £100.
“It’s vital that we continue doing our bit for charity, and Back on the Beat is the perfect way to do that,” Glyn added.
The PTC charity, which has two centres, provides intensive physical treatment and wellbeing support for injured police officers, with the aim to help them return to better health.
