Members can now submit their nominations if they want to stand in the Police Federation workplace representative elections.
Subscribing members of Staffordshire Police Federation putting themselves forward are encouraged to submit their nomination forms as soon as possible but anyone still considering whether they want to stand still has time to find out more about the role.
Branch chair Phil Jones said: “The role of a workplace representative is a challenging and rewarding one but also provides an amazing opportunity for members to become better police officers and better supervisors.
“I would urge any members considering standing for election to put themselves forward now or speak to a Fed rep before making their final decision.”
Elections for Federation reps are held every three years with interim elections being organised if positions become vacant.
Nominations for Fed reps for this year’s election close at 11.59pm on 22 July.
All subscribing Federation members will receive an email directly to their PNN address (or their selected preferred email address) from the independent third-party electoral service provider, Mi-Voice.
Non-subscribing members cannot stand for election but can vote. Details of the voting platform will be provided in the coming weeks once the nomination period is closed.
The email to subscribing members will contain a link to an online nomination form. Members who wish to stand for election will need to complete the form, which includes confirming that they are eligible to stand and agree to the Standards and Performance Agreement.
Members are asked to check their junk mailbox if they cannot see the email from Mi-Voice in their inbox.
