A special Twitter chat highlighting the vital work of the Police Federation workplace rep takes place on Wednesday evening and Cambridgeshire branch members are being urged to get involved.
The hour-long @WeCops session gets underway at 9pm and comes in the run-up to the July elections.
It will focus on the incredible work carried out by the reps, how they are supported by the Federation and how officers can still get involved.
The chat is being hosted by Police Federation national chair John Apter tweeting as @PFEW_Chair and national wellbeing secretary Belinda Goodwin tweeting as @BelindaPfew for the session.
The @WeCops sessions follow a three-question format and usually feature some interesting discussions.
Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom said she would encourage members to get involved with the Twitter discussion.
Liz said: “I would urge any of our members who use Twitter to log on to this discussion and find out more about the elections and Fed reps. This is a great chance for members to ask any questions they might have about workplace reps, the training they receive and hopefully how to get involved themselves.”
Elections for Fed reps are held every three years.
The next election process begins on Thursday (1 July) when nominations open for workplace representatives.
