Keynote speeches, panel discussions and round table sessions from last week’s Police Federation annual conference are all now available to watch online through a special video on-demand service.
Highlights include the opening address from Prime Minister Boris Johnson, keynote speeches by Home Secretary Priti Patel and Federation chair John Apter plus award presentations and important sessions on the use of force, policing at protests, misogyny and diversity within the service.
The theme of this year’s conference was Policing under Pressure and the event provided some fascinating insights into the fresh challenges faced by frontline officers as the country emerges from an unprecedented period of national lockdown.
Staffordshire Police Federation secretary Glyn Pattinson, who is chair of the Police Federation’s National Detectives’ Forum, also gave an input on the pressures facing detectives.
He said: “This year’s conference was a success and covered many of the issues faced by police officers currently. I would urge any members who were unable to watch the live sessions to catch up with the speeches and debates using the on-demand service.”
