A free guide has been created to encourage Federation members to open up about their mental health.

Now, more than ever, it is important for everyone to look after our own wellbeing, while checking up on family, friends and colleagues

The handy guide, created by Police Mutual to coincide Time to Talk Day yesterday (4 February), includes everything from helpful tips on looking after your own wellbeing, to links to useful charities.

With the focus of this year’s Time to Talk Day being the power of small, the guide also discusses how important a simple conversation about mental health can be.

It is also Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which is held annually to highlight the importance of children and young people’s mental health and ends on Sunday.

Police Mutual has created a guide which offers advice and information on understanding children’s mental health, along with tips on how to support them.

Police Mutual offers wellbeing and financial support to the police family.
