The Staffordshire Police welfare and wellbeing vehicle is back on the road with more details about where it will be heading to come.

Staffordshire Police Federation Chair Phil Jones said it was an essential resource for officers which is supported by the force Occupational Health teams.

"We have the welfare vehicle back following a make-over, and it will be going out to stations in the next few months," he said.

"With a health and wellbeing theme, it's very much a one-stop-shop and is supported by Occupational Health and other key partners.

"I know just how busy officers are so it's only right we take this service out to them and their workplaces."

The vehicle gives Staffs officers somewhere to sit, have a rest and have a hot drink while working on jobs and scenes. It offers microwave provisions, fast charge ports for phones, TV facilities and more.

Phil said; "We are in the final stages of having an intranet page being built on the force systems, and once it's up and running, we'll publish dates, locations and more about the services and the support the welfare vehicle can provide so watch this space."
